Shaping academic affairs
The General Students' Committee (AStA) is the executing organ of student self-government. The members are nominated by the Student Parliament (StuPa). In principle, every student who is interested in university politics and student self-government can play a role here. Among other things, AStA executes the resolutions of the Student Parliament and ballot voting, handles the ongoing business of administration, represents the student body externally and in dealing with the University of Applied Sciences and fosters collaboration with students domestically and abroad. Further tasks of the AStA are set forth in the charter of the student body of the Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences.
